Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with President of Turkic Investment Fund

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received President of the Turkic Investment Fund Baghdad Amreyev in the Carmelite Monastery, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday.

The investment fund will be the most important common financial institution of the Organization of Turkic States, the goal of which is to mobilise the economic potential of the Member States – Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan as well as Turkmenistan and Hungary as observers – and to intensify trade and economic cooperation through the implementation of joint projects and investments. The press chief said the investment fund of Turkic states will be launched with initial capital to the value of USD 350 million, and will seek to support primarily the projects of small and medium-sized businesses. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
