Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Mayor Péter Szarvas in Békéscsaba about economic developments

After the inauguration of the latest section of the M44 express road, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Mayor Péter Szarvas at the City Hall of the county-ranked City of Békéscsaba, the Communications Division of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday. 

The parties reviewed the economic and transport development plans concerning Békéscsaba, with special regard to the tasks related to the extension of the M44 to the country border and the construction of the section of the M47 express road between Békéscsaba and Debrecen. 

The Prime Minister highlighted that with the development of the M44 and M47 express roads, the goal of the government was to create a new economic zone within the Békéscsaba-Debrecen-Nagyszalonta triangle. 

The meeting was also attended by Minister for Construction and Transport János Lázár and County Government Commissioner-Fidesz Constituency President Árpád Takács.
