The Prime Minister-President of Fidesz said there are two main camps in European and western politics up against one another. One is the camp of globalists, while the other one is that of the sovereigntists, patriots. The former wants to build a federation, a global government, and wants centralisation. The other side “loves its country, doesn’t want to surrender its rights, and while it is happy to cooperate, it doesn’t surrender national powers, doesn’t want federalism, doesn’t want centralisation,” Mr Orbán stressed.
He said “we won in America.” There, the pro-sovereignty forces, the patriots won. In Europe the battle is still ongoing, and therefore, sooner or later, political camps, too, will be organised according to this logic, the Prime Minister added.
Mr Orbán said at this point in time, the federalists, the globalists are still in the majority, but they are organising the camp of the Patriots step by step. What is important now is to coordinate ideologies, programmes, views about Europe and national interests, he indicated.
The Prime Minister highlighted that “we are in this phase at present, we don’t need more than a year or two, and we’ll be in the majority, we will occupy Brussels and will transform the whole of the European Union, we will not allow the Brussels bureaucrats to dictate to the nation states. This will happen.”
“This event here in France today is an important station of this process, of this future victory. At the beginning of the year, we were in Spain, we are here now, next, we’re going to Italy, and we’re organising Europe,” he added.
Mr Orbán highlighted that this was in Hungary’s best interests. “Hungary is unable to defend itself against Brussels on its own. We need allies, the bigger the better. We need the French, without the French, we can’t remove Hungary from the Brussels rack,” he stated.
The Prime Minister observed that in this patriotic world, we were in government now. It is to be hoped that the Czechs will be next, and the French, too, are close to this. At the meeting, he said, he will talk about how this was done in Hungary.
“Hungary is proof, […] the ultimate argument which confirms that what we’re talking about is not empty, hot air, not mere wishful thinking. It’s reality, it’s a possibility,” Mr Orbán said, pointing out that “it is possible to create a Christian, national, conservative government, and countries can remain within their own national worlds, amidst their own national interests; there is no need for them to subject themselves to any globalist financial, business or political power.”
In answer to the question of whether there will be other patriots as well in the European Council according to expectations, he said “also today, the globalists would happily drown me in a glass of water at each council meeting if they could, but this is not possible because there are several others who agree with us and regularly stand up for Hungary, and I myself, too, always stand up for them.” This alliance of comrades-in-arms is currently being built in Brussels, Mr Orbán stated.
