Let’s say no to war; this is why we’re holding an anti-war rally in Szombathely today

“Zelenskyy keeps levelling threats, Brussels would send European soldiers to the front. Enough is enough. Let’s say no to war,” the narrator says in a video posted by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Facebook on Saturday. The Prime Minister wrote in conjunction with the video: “This is why we’re holding an anti-war rally in Szombathely today. Join us.”

“Every Viktor deserves a smack upside the head,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says in the video.

The footage shows President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte hugging the Ukrainian president.

“Ukraine needs strong armed forces. We are working with you to ensure that they have what they need,” the NATO Secretary General is quoted in the video.

Footage in the video also shows President of the Tisza Party Péter Magyar in the company of leader of the European People’s Party Manfred Weber. “Péter Magyar’s boss in Brussels trumps even this,” the narrator says in the video, showing Manfred Weber saying “I think it’s now the moment to send there troops who have the European flag on their uniforms.”

The video then recalls that “meanwhile, Péter Magyar and his associates keep applauding, wearing T-shirts with the Ukrainian flag, and would introduce conscription.”

Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, Tisza’s defence expert is also quoted, pointing out that “conscription should be re-introduced. We haven’t done away with it, we have only suspended it, so let’s be cautious. If there is trouble, we’ll drag everyone in immediately.”

According to the video, it is for a reason that Zelenskyy and his people campaign for Tisza: former Ukrainian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba says in Ukrainian that “now, everyone is sitting and praying for Orbán to lose the next elections and for a pro-Europe government coalition, which is also pro-Ukraine, to enter into power.”

Enough is enough. Let’s say no to war, the narrator says in conclusion in the video posted on the Prime Minister’s social media account.
