It is unprecedented that a non-NATO Member State carries out secret service operations against a NATO Member State, Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated on Friday, on the way to the Tirana summit of the European Political Community.

In a video posted on his social media account, in answer to the question of what the topic of his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will be, Mr Orbán said the Ukrainians will be on the agenda.

He said it is unprecedented that a non-NATO Member State – which meanwhile allegedly seeks to establish good relations with NATO – carries out secret service operations against Hungary, a NATO Member State, and “is pursuing a well-coordinated, organised, sufficiently funded disinformation smear campaign.” “This is unacceptable, NATO itself can’t tolerate this,” the Prime Minister laid down.
