Hungary will not be a Ukrainian colony, Zelenskyy has no authority here to issue orders, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote in conjunction with a video he posted on Facebook. He added: Join the Peace March, and let us stand up for our country together.
In the video, the Prime Minister recalled that the Ukrainian oil blockade had been ongoing for 19 days. President Zelenskyy continues to keep the crude oil pipeline shut down, despite knowing that it is crucial for Hungary and Slovakia.
He added: “Our experts have been in Kiev for days, but they are not allowing them anywhere near the oil pipeline. This amounts to an admission,” Mr Orbán pointed out.
He drew attention to the fact that the world and Europe are unable to conquer the oil crisis, unless with the help of cheap Russian crude oil. The Americans have already taken a step and started lifting the sanctions; however, in Brussels, the penny still has not dropped. The Commission and the German chancellor are maintaining the sanctions introduced against Russian oil earlier.
The consequences are here: in Austria, a litre of petrol costs HUF 700, in Germany HUF 800, while in the Netherlands almost HUF 1,000, Mr Orbán listed examples.
“We here in Hungary guarantee the security of families, businesses and farmers with protected, capped prices. We are continuously replenishing our strategic reserves, and therefore, there is and there will not be any supply problems at filling stations. Peace March tomorrow: I ask everyone to join us. Let us stand in unity against the Ukrainian blackmail. Hungary won’t be a Ukrainian colony, Zelenskyy has no authority here to issue orders,” the Prime Minister stated.
