In the video posted on Facebook, Viktor Orbán stressed that according to reports received on Tuesday morning, the most difficult situation had developed along the River Leitha.
Due to this, more than 800 experts have been reassigned from the other side of the Danube, from the Great Hungarian Plain who are now serving in the Transdanubia region in excellent cooperation with members of the military, he added.
The Prime Minister said more than 400 soldiers are serving on the dams now, and within 24 hours they are able to deploy further thousands if necessary. However, he said, as far as he can see, they will be able to resolve the situation with the experts mobilised to date and the many enthusiastic volunteers.
