Yesterday we concluded the national petition on the war in Ukraine. We thank everyone who participated. We are the only country in Europe in which the people have been involved in decision-making on issues such as migration, child protection, the economy, Ukraine, and indeed on energy security. And we have stood by the people’s decisions – even, when necessary, in opposition to Brussels. We are currently compiling the results of the petition, but it is already clear that a record number of Hungarians have said no to the oil blockade and to financing the war. We have done half the work, but we must also do the other half: we must elect a government that will assert the will of the people. This is why I ask everyone to vote this Sunday for security: to vote for Fidesz–KDNP, so that we can carry out what we have committed to in the national petition. We shall not let Hungarians’ money go to Ukraine; we shall break the oil blockade, and defend Hungary’s energy security. Because Fidesz is the safe choice!
