On Thursday, in a message Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on the occasion of the formation of his sixth government, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.
According to Mr Orbán, it is a remarkable political achievement that following his victory in the latest elections held in November, Mr Netanyahu is again returning to the position of prime minister. This perseverance is of special significance in the difficult times we must now face, the Hungarian Prime Minister wrote.

Our commitment to the two countries’ strategic partnership and Israel’s security is as solid as possible, he pointed out, adding that Hungary will continue to support Israel against the biased and unfair approaches that can be experienced on the international scene.

We are ready, Mr Orbán continued, to further strengthen close cooperation between our countries based on the common concept of national interests.
