Following Manfred Weber, today Ursula von der Leyen swore allegiance to Ukraine

Today, too, we have received threatening news from Brussels because following Manfred Weber, today Ursula von der Leyen swore allegiance to Ukraine, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a video posted on his Facebook account on Wednesday.

Mr Orbán said the President of the European Commission announced that before the end of this year, they would take decisive steps with a view to Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

Ursula von der Leyen announced that they wanted to send Ukraine an even larger sum of money than the sums they had sent before, and that they wanted to involve the European Union in the war even more comprehensively, he listed.

But this is not in Europe’s best interests, Mr Orbán stressed.

The Prime Minister said it is in Europe’s best interests to follow the United States and to come out of the war.

It is in Europe’s best interests to stop pouring the European people’s money “into the bottomless pit of an unwinnable war,” and to only admit countries to the EU which strengthen our community, rather than countries that will bankrupt us, the Prime Minister pointed out.

Mr Orbán stated that “the Hungarian position is clear, and we persevere with it, we don’t want them to make the Hungarian people pay the price of Ukraine’s accession.”

It is time for the European Commission to finally represent the Member States instead of Ukraine, the Prime Minister said in conclusion.
