At the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, former Italian Prime Minister-former President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi paid a visit to Budapest. The Prime Minister conducted bilateral talks with Mr Draghi on Thursday afternoon in the Róheim Villa, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.
At the meeting, the parties spoke about the EU’s competitiveness problems as Mr Draghi is the author of the latest report on European competitiveness. The report analyses European competitiveness from a strategic point of view, the communication recalls.
Mr Draghi will also attend the Friday EU summit in Budapest, Mr Havasi reported.
