Flood protection operational group had a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán 

In the early hours of Monday morning, the flood protection operational group had a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at the National Emergency Management Centre of the Ministry of the Interior, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

Members of the group heard the reports of all state agencies involved in the defence effort. After an assessment of the situation, the group members defined the tasks to be performed with immediate effect and approved the flood protection plans for the coming days. 

Mr Orbán established that the personnel, technical and financial resources necessary for the defence effort were available, Mr Havasi reported.
