Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with former prime minister of Slovenia

On Saturday in the Carmelite Monastery, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received former Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa, President of the Slovenian Democratic Party, the strongest opposition force in the country, Bertalan Havasi, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

At the meeting, the parties spoke about the recent storms and floods causing Slovenia to sustain the most severe damage in its history, in connection with which Hungary has  provided relief support in the past few weeks. 

They spoke about the world political situation and the importance of peace in the context of the Russo-Ukrainian war, and reviewed the tasks facing European conservative, Christian parties ahead of the 2024 EP elections. 

Mr Jansa will attend the 20 August celebrations and will view the events of the World Athletics Championships, the press chief reported.
