Flood protection system is performing well

On Monday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán paid a visit to the National Technical Control Division headquarters where he reviewed the situation that has developed due to the heavy rainfall of recent days together with the leaders of the organisation, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

The Prime Minister heard the report of the defence unit of the National Directorate General for Water Management on the work completed to date and the tasks of the coming days.

They established that the flood protection developments completed in recent years and the new facilities have passed the test, the experts are standing their ground and are able to protect the people’s safety and property from floods. Mr Orbán thanked them for their efforts.
