Zsolt Nyitrai to assist Prime Minister Viktor Orbán with priority social affairs

Zsolt Nyitrai will assist Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s work as prime ministerial commissioner at the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister; his main duties will involve the coordination of the government’s activities and communication related to priority social affairs, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday.

Prime Ministerial Commissioner Zsolt Nyitrai will make recommendations regarding social policy and the adoption of measures related to the elderly, will take part in the implementation thereof, and will monitor the progress of priority affairs within the government, Mr Havasi said, outlining the newly-appointed prime ministerial commissioner’s responsibilities.

On behalf of Mr Orbán, Mr Nyitrai will also perform tasks related to communication and consultation with the government’s priority social partners.

Mr Nyitrai has been a Member of Parliament since 2002 and has acted as chief advisor to Prime Minister Orbán since 2016, the communication reads.
