The meeting was also attended by former IPC President Sir Philip Craven, Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog, Prime Ministerial Commissioner Zsolt Nyitrai, Ministerial Commissioner Pál Szekeres, President of the Hungarian Paralympic Committee (HPC) László Szabó, and the HPC’s Sports Director Ágnes Szélesi-Kővári.

On 12 December, the Hungarian National Assembly voted unanimously in favour of the five-party initiative put forward by parliament’s Cultural Committee making 22 February Hungarian Parasport Day. IPC leaders are in Hungary to attend this year’s series of events, which are being held for the first time, and will also be participating in a conference and gala dinner at the Castle Bazaar and Royal Gardens in Budapest.
