Together with Central Europe, Serbia could be winner of next decade

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in a message on the historic victory of the Serbian Progressive Party in the parliamentary, regional and local elections held in Serbia, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Monday.

“In the past few years, under your brave leadership, Serbia has proved that not only is it capable of rising to the challenges it is facing, but is ready to become a winner of the decade ahead together with the countries of Central Europe. I am convinced that your successful governance will create all the foundations that are necessary for Serbia to become a full member of the European Union by the end of the upcoming parliamentary term of four years,” Mr Orbán said.

The Hungarian Prime Minister reassured Mr Vucic that Hungary remains committed to the development of bilateral relations and the intensification of strategic partnership, in the spirit of which they are ready to organise a sixth Hungarian-Serbian government summit after the establishment of the Serbian government.
