Prime Minister Viktor Orbán visited stabbed police officer in hospital

On Thursday in the Honvéd Hospital, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán visited the police officer who was attacked by a man with a knife last week in Újpest. The Prime Minister also inspected the coronavirus vaccination point set up in the institution, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

Mr Orbán visited the police sergeant – who sustained life-threatening injuries, but who no longer requires intensive care and is making good progress – in the company of Interior Minister Sándor Pintér. The Prime Minister thanked the police officer for his courage, and wished him much strength with his recovery.

According to Mr Havasi’s information, the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister also visited the coronavirus vaccination point set up in the Hungarian Defence Forces Health Care Centre Honvéd Hospital. They thanked health care workers for doing their job with the usual perseverance and to the highest standards also on the last day of the year. Mr Orbán said next year the vaccine will give us our old lives back.
