Prime Minister Viktor Orbán travelling to attend Brussels summit

“Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is travelling to Brussels this morning, where the EU’s heads of state and government will be in session in various formations during Tuesday and Wednesday for the first time since the British referendum on exiting the European Union”, The Prime Minster’s Press Chief Mr. Bertalan Havasi told miniszterelnok.hu.

The Prime Minister’s programme will begin at 1 p.m. with a meeting of the European People’s Party, of which Fidesz is also a member, at the Royal Academy in Brussels, followed by a short meeting of Visegrád Group (V4) heads of government.

The working session of the European Council of heads of state and government will begin at 4 p.m. and will also be attended by the British Prime Minister who, however, will not be participating at Wednesday morning’s working breakfast, Mr. Havasi told kormany.hu with regard to the preliminary programme.
