Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Croatian Prime Minister

On Wednesday in Bled, Slovenia, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic about the European political situation, the future of the EU and Hungarian-Croatian cooperation, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

At the meeting, the Croatian Prime Minister thanked Hungary for the assistance it provided to help eliminate the damage caused by last year’s earthquake in Croatia.

The parties also discussed some topical issues of Hungarian-Croatian regional economic cooperation and spoke about the importance of border protection.

In the context of the debates on the future of Europe, Mr Orbán and Mr Plenkovic agreed that Central Europe must protect its interests at the discussions with the weight it represents, Mr Havasi reported.
