Hungary and Serbia continue to support one another

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks over the telephone with Serbian President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

At the meeting, they expressed commitment to cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, and stressed that the two countries would continue to support one another and would together pull through the difficulties facing Europe during the period ahead.

In addition to bilateral relations, Mr Vucic and Mr Orbán also spoke about the regional situation, the migrant crisis, topical issues within the European Union and the most burning current global topics.

President Vucic thanked the Hungarian government for its assistance with the storage of gas with which it has contributed to Serbia’s energy security. The partners confirmed that the energy cooperation of the two countries was making good progress, Mr Havasi reported.
