Hungarian-Serbian government summit to be held in Budapest

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will receive Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and her government delegation in Budapest as part of an official visit, within the framework of the sixth Hungarian-Serbian government summit, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday.

The programme will begin on Tuesday evening with a working dinner, and on Wednesday the prime ministers and cabinet members will have talks in the Carmelite Monastery, first the prime ministers and ministers separately, and then together as part of a plenary meeting.

Topics of the government summit will include topical issues concerning the excellent economic and political relations that exist between the two countries, the challenges facing the two countries and our region, such as restarting after the coronavirus pandemic and the repeated intensification of illegal migration.

During the programme, a number of new inter-governmental agreements serving to boost cooperation between Hungary and Serbia will also be signed, the press chief reported.
