Further EU funds are coming to Hungary
24. 03. 2022.
EU funds worth EUR 300 million could be made available to Hungary shortly; in the wake of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s letter to the President of the European Commission, the Commission has made it possible for Hungary to access an advance from one of the EU’s recovery funds, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief told the Hungarian news agency MTI on Thursday.

The fact that Mr Orbán’s initiative had set things in motion in the EU and the Commission had proposed the amendment of the REACT-EU Regulation after less than a week amply refutes the Left’s lies related to EU funds, Mr Havasi pointed out.

In practice, this means that within a few weeks, EU funds worth EUR 300 million could be made available to Hungary without any pre-condition, the press chief said.
