Fidesz has joined President of the Polish Law and Justice Party (PiS) Jaroslaw Kaczynski’s petition about the future of Europe, Prime Minister-President of Fidesz Orbán Viktor stated in a video posted on his Facebook account on Friday.

He said a few months ago the President of France instigated a pan-European debate about the future of the European Union (EU).

On Friday, at the end of many long weeks and months of preparations, the president of the largest Polish governing party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski signed a declaration, and called upon Europe’s parties sharing similar views to join it.

This declaration is about the future of Europe, about the protection of nations, families and traditional Christian values, Mr Orbán highlighted.

Fidesz has joined this petition, as the declaration lays down that we want this common document to serve as the basis of our cultural and political efforts. This is how we intend to take part in the debate about the future of the European Union,” the Hungarian Prime Minister stated.
