We are the opposition of pro-migration Brussels

In a video posted on Facebook on Tuesday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán described the government parties as the opposition of pro-migration Brussels.

The Prime Minister rendered an account of the Tuesday board meeting of Fidesz where – in his words – attendees heard “a battlefield update” from the government party Members of the European Parliament “fighting in Brussels.”

He stressed that Brussels had launched a campaign of lies against Hungary regarding the issue of migration, claiming that they impose no obligation on Hungary to take illegal migrants in. He described this as “a barefaced lie,” adding that Hungary says no to the migration pact because it makes the letting in of migrants and the creation of migrant ghettos compulsory, thereby destroying the entire Hungarian border protection system. He indicated that so far we had spent EUR 2 billion on border protection, and for this “we would deserve a medal, not punishment.”

He highlighted that migration was an issue where it was enough to make a mistake once. Countries where weak leaders of weak governments let migrants in will never be able to remove them. “We will not allow this to happen, we are the opposition of pro-migration Brussels. This has been the case to date, and this will be the case henceforth as well. They seek to appoint a lieutenant in vain, they seek to install a puppet government in Hungary in vain, we will not give in,” Mr Orbán stated, while the video featured images of leader of the Tisza Party Péter Magyar.
