This is a stretch of the Danube where water levels have already begun to reduce. Today, Friday, is the eighth day of defence operations in Dunaalmás. The level is falling by one centimetre per hour, which means that the flood wave is moving towards Budapest. Here the defences have withstood the highest level. Here we need to be vigilant now, with the patrols and monitoring activities that are necessary to prevent any damage from the receding water. What is good news here means that there must be readiness a few kilometres to the south, because the flood wave is moving together with us in that direction. Dunaalmás has done it, the other settlements will do it, and so will Hungary!
